Number of sessions needed to achieve complete hair removal varies for each individual. Normally, it takes about 4 to 8 sessions, spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart, to see significant results. However, factors like hair texture, skin type, and the area being treated can influence the total number of sessions required. 

The OPT machine emits a wide-spectrum intense pulsed light ranging from 560 to 1000 nm. This light penetrates the skin to target various skin imperfections. By selectively absorbing light, the machine raises the temperature of the hair follicles, causing their destruction (hair follicle necrosis). This process leads to permanent hair removal.

OPT treatments require minimal aftercare for the treated areas. However, we still advise our customers to avoid wearing tight clothing and taking hot baths or saunas. Additionally, applying aloe vera or our skin repair and barrier creams can help speed up recovery in those areas.

Ingrown hairs occur when hair curls and grows into the skin rather than upward. This can lead to sideways or downward growth, causing irritation and inflammation. Unlike some hair removal methods, OPT Hair Removal does not cause ingrown hairs.
